His Story
Michael Anthony Valerin is a Dallas Texas native who does not own a pair of cowboy boots and is not a fan of hats, especially the cowboy kind.
Michael was a boy looking for love...in all the wrong places. One fine day, while surfing the wonderful world wide web he stumbled upon a beautiful young maiden. Although she lived worlds apart in a frozen tundra she melted his heart. He just had to know more...so he wrote her a note.
Her Story
Shannon Lee McKelvey is a girl from the land of snow and beaver tails. A Canadian cutie captivated by her computer she fell head over heals with her Hottie USA.
When she didn't have her cell phone attached to her ear she was busy writing term papers while attending the University of Ottawa, or dancing up a storm cheering on the Gee Gee's, or for the Ottawa Renegades CFL team. If she wasn't busting a move, she was popping tops at one of her many nightclub jobs.
Trading in her snow shoes for flip flops she moseyed on down to the Big D in the lone star state.
Their Story
Once upon a time....in a digital land far, far, away, there was a boy....who saw a picture of a girl.
Two years of emails, text messages, long phone calls and even longer phone bills, they finally met face to face in Dallas, TX.
Shannon's first week long trip turned into two weeks, then into four. When Shannon went home, Michael quickly booked a trip up north to reunite with her and meet her family.
It was not long before Shannon decided to pack her bags and head south. She packed up her little red car and Michael joined her on their cross continent road trip from Canada to Texas. As they waved good-bye with tears in their eyes, Michael's tears were more so because of the lack of leg room thanks to the "jam pack" techniques Shannon employs because she always was a great Girl Guide and knows how important it is to "Be Prepared!" It is a good thing she was too, because after 28 hours of driving, not 20 minutes shy of their destination - her car broke down! Welcome to TEXAS!!
4 apartments, one house rental and seven short years later Shannon and Michael are still two of a kind...working on a full house...or at least the house part. :)
